My dad... before I was born... The song you are hearing if you have your click play is by my friend Don Rudnickas. It is a testimonial of love and respect for his father.
For all of us that have lost our fathers I think that the memories this beautiful song evokes actually does give us one more and many more times shared with them as we listen.
"Surround Me" by Chris Sotiri
I am not sure how things happen nor can I explain them... be that as it may this man's music came into my world. The how isn't important... But the first song I listened to "Surround Me" exposed, expressed and exhaled how I feel.
More of his music can be found
Lyrics
Wash away this life, put it all behind
Won't take anymore, this tired soul can't fight
I am not afraid, to leave everything
There's a world, where I won't be in pain
Surround Me, Surround Me
I've lost what I need
Surround Me, Surround Me
My heart was torn away, ever since that day,
Never will forget, one fateful mistake
Visions of the end, play back time again
There's a place, where I won't feel a thing
Surround Me, Surround Me
I've lost what I need
Surround Me, Surround Me
How can one live, just suffering,
How can one live, so helplessly,
How do you live??
Surround Me, Surround Me
I've lost what I need
Surround Me, Surround Me
Surround Me, Surround Me
I found I'll never be
Surround Me

I've not lost my father so I can't possibly know how it feels, but that song - well, it's so beautiful.
That song is beautiful and if you look just a bit like your dad ... well ...
I lost my dad more than twenty years ago and as he was never lovable (we feared him) it was not a great loss.
Yes,
the song is beautiful. We just lost one of our sisters on Valentines day... and even though this song is directed to a parent, I think anyone who has lost someone that was important to them can find solace in the song.
